For our first full day in Halifax, we started the morning at the Halifax Citadel. The complex is actually very large and there’s many areas and exhibits to explore inside. We first joined a walking tour, which gave us a more detailed insight into why the fort was built and how it was used as a point of defence. Day 3 of our East Coast trip was our main travel day. We had to take a 5-hour bus ride from Charlottetown to our next destination – Halifax. Day two in PEI. We spent the entire day wandering around downtown Charlottetown. As I mentioned before, the downtown core is really small, so we really didn’t need to allot an entire day for it. For our final day, we pretty much spent our time in transit. We only managed to catch a couple hours of sleep after returning from the aurora viewing, but we had no choice as we needed to catch our flight to Edmonton in the morning.
