After waking up the next day, we spent the better part of the morning tour the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. The indoor exhibits spread between three floors of the building and included an aquarium. There were also two vessels outside we could visit which came along with our admission tickets. Getting back to my East Coast trip. My favourite spot out of all the scenic locations we visited had to have been Mahone Bay. Historic Tour

For our first full day in Halifax, we started the morning at the Halifax Citadel. The complex is actually very large and there’s many areas and exhibits to explore inside. We first joined a walking tour, which gave us a more detailed insight into why the fort was built and how it was used as a point of defence. We saw some gun firing demonstrations, the changing of the guards, and stayed for the ceremonial firing of the noon cannon….

Day 3 of our East Coast trip was our main travel day. We had to take a 5-hour bus ride from Charlottetown to our next destination – Halifax.
