Otaru & Sapporo

Otaru & Sapporo

It didn’t seem like we had done anything in Hokkaido other than attend the Arashi concert. On Monday we finally had a full day of sightseeing. We took a side trip to Otaru, which is about 45 minutes away from Sapporo. Otaru is a town right by the water, so the sushi is there very fresh. Sapporo Con Report – Day 2

Sapporo Con Report – Day 2

My sister and I had gotten out of the subway station around half an hour before the con goods were…

Sapporo

Sapporo

First impressions of Sapporo was that it felt very much like Toronto. Weather-wise it was slightly chilly, but around the same temperature. The city itself was quite nice. The main Sapporo terminal felt similar to Union Station and it wasn’t as busy as Shinjuku Station. I think there was the right amount of people to give off the ‘big city’ feeling without feeling super crowded and claustrophobic. The shops right by the station were very nice and modern. I think…
