先週、刈谷からの市民団がミササガに来ました。私は、初めてホストファミリーの経験をさせていただきました。とても楽しかったです！めぐみといろいろなところに観光に行きました。そこでおいしい料理を食べたり、写真を撮ったりしました。日焼けをしたのが唯一の嫌だったことかな。(笑) カナダの夏は日本より涼しいはずなのに、なぜか先週はとくに暑かった！Niagara Falls に行った日は、一番暑い日でした。やっぱり暑いのは嫌いです。寒いのも嫌いな私です。=P 初日は、ミササガの市役所を見学しました。昼食後は、Benares Museum へ行き、そこでキャンプ中の子供たちに「日本文化」を体験してもらいました。子供たちに教えていたのは、刈谷市民団の方々だけで、私はなにもしていなかったのに、なぜかすごく疲れてしまいました。(笑) 家に帰る前にめぐみに私の勤務している図書館へ連れて行ってあげました。ただの普通の図書館ですが、めぐみに見せることができてよかったです。夕食はまたミササガの市役所へ行って、市役所の１２階の眺めの良いところでＢＢＱを食べました。 私たちのスケジュールは忙しく、特に初日の日は、朝から晩まで予定がギッシリ詰まっていました。しかし、とても楽しく充実した一日を過ごすことができました。とても楽しい歓迎会でした。 +++ I should put a little disclaimer here. Last vacation post! I survived the week-long cruise and finally made it to Vancouver! Our ship docked in Vancouver early in the morning. We were amongst the first groups to disembark.
