Goodbye Japan!

Goodbye Japan!

The last of my time in Japan was spent in Tokyo. I had a few days out on my own so naturally I went shopping. I think I lost track of the times I went in and out of Donki just stocking up make up, skincare products and snacks. Hehe. The cool thing about staying in Shirokane was that I got to go to their fancy version of Donki, which is located on Platinum Street and approriately named Platinum Donki. It essentially sells the exact same items, but I’m told the alcohol selection is better. =P

I spent time shopping in Shinjuku as well. Bikkuro, Lumine Est, Kinokuniya, and pretty much all the popular shops and department stores in the area. For food we went to a couple of places in Shirokane and Hiroo. La Cafe Boheme, which is a chain, has a really nice location in Shirokane. We sat on up the upper level and got an amazing view of the restaurant below. The food was reasonably priced and the ambiance was great as well. It’s good to know they open late until 27:30!

We also went to this super secluded and high class restaurant called Aji no Nakamura in Hiroo, which is regularly visited by celebrities, politicians, CEOs and also people on first dates. (We tried not to eavesdrop as much as we could, but they were seated at the counter right beside us so it was a little difficult not to listen. Lol.)

It was too bad that there were only two of us cause I would have loved to order more from their menu. Even though dinner was expensive, it was also my favourite meal during my entire trip! I would happily pay to eat there again!

While it seemed like my time in Japan was rushed and I was constantly running around everywhere, I really enjoyed being back. I didn’t realized how much I missed the little things! I’m hoping it won’t be another year and a half before I’m back again!
