Day two in PEI. We spent the entire day wandering around downtown Charlottetown. As I mentioned before, the downtown core is really small, so we really didn\u2019t need to allot an entire day for it. But because the weather turned out really nice, we were able to take our time exploring all the landmarks on foot.<\/p>\n

We first began the day at Founder\u2019s Hall, which took us back in time to Canada in the late 1800\u2019s. As you make your way through the exhibits, the audio commentary gives a full description of the events leading to Confederation, starting with the Charlottetown Conference. Overall it was quite informative and I think you can enjoy it without having an extensive background in Canadian history.

Later we took an extremely scenic walk towards Victoria Park, which included a stop at the Prince Edward Battery. We spent over an hour making a loop around before grabbing lunch at Water St. Fish & Chips. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon we toured inside St. Dunstan\u2019s Basilica and then made our way towards the city centre and visited the public library (free cake!), the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, and a replica of the room where the Fathers of Confederation gathered. We also ended up stopping at the Confederation Mall since we ran out of things to do. Hehe.<\/p>\n

That evening for dinner we had another night of seafood. I somehow managed to devour another half bucket of mussels as well as a full pound lobster. I\u2019m apparently okay with eating the same meal two nights in a row. =P<\/p>\n
