BUT, based on the few little notes I’ve managed to scribble here and there, I’m going to attempt at summarizing some of these thoughts.

To begin, I guess I’ll have to start with the flight on board AC 001. I left home quite early in the afternoon and headed to Pearson. I checked in already at home, so I was surprised that I was able to bypass the little line that was there and made my way straight to the front. Hehehe…suckers! (Although it really meant that I now have even more time to sit in the waiting area and do absolutely nothing.)

*****

First Meal onboard 5:30pm T.O time

I was actually surprised. The chicken tasted almost exactly that what you’d expect freshly cooked chicken to taste like. And it was covered in a nice tomato so-su. The rice on the other hand was a bit questionable…it was in a cream sauce which made it disgustingly yellow in colour. The salad consisted of carrots, which I guess was prepared in Japanese style and there was a nice blueberry cake to finish it off.

Halfway through the flight 10:00pm T.O time

Hmm…slept for two hours, but there’s still a long way to go. I’m feeling alright for the most part, but it’s hard to say if I’ll be fine throughout the entire flight. Luckily there’s not very many people on this flight, so I actually have the entire row to myself to stretch my body across the seats! Sweet!

Oddly now, they’ve decided to serve a round of cup noodles AND sandwiches. I guess seeing how hungry passengers were from previous flights (ahem, Hong Kong), they decided to overcompensate and feed us to death. I think this meal only counts as a brunch, which means that there’ll be another meal shortly before we land. Only six more hours to go!!

Almost there! 3:00am T.O time

The last round of drinks and the last meal onboard. I don’t know if the food has gotten better, or if I’ve just gotten groggier that I’m not really paying attention to what I’m eating anymore. But somehow this terriyaki noodle seems quite yummy. One more hour to go!!

*****

By the time I got through immigration, it was already getting late. I got my luggage and cell phone sorted, then I bought my ticket for N’Ex, which would arrive in Shinjuku at 8:40pm. Donna met up with me on the platform, which was a bonus, because I would have gotten helplessly lost on my own. After drowning down a genki drink, we met her friends for dinner at a Taiwanese restaurant in the area. Since I was already exhausted from the flight, my mind was totally not functioning properly when I stepped into the restaurant. First of all, I had to ring this gong three times before this head popped out from behind the door and opened to let us in. Once inside, the entire restaurant was shaped like a birdcage. There was lightning and thunder and apparently the floors also shook. I totally thought I was dreaming by this point, but it was absolutely hilarious thinking back, especially at the toilets inside the washrooms!

Anyways, it was late by the time we got to Donna’s house. After a quick shower, I rolled out my sleeping bag and called it a night. Until tomorrow!!

So seeing as I don’t have my laptop on me, I don’t really have appropriate means to type out all my thoughts at the time they were occurring.
