Bye Bye Vegas!

Bye Bye Vegas!

Since we had done all the obligatory touristy stuff the previous days, for our last day in Vegas we took it easy. First order of business was getting checked out. Then we walked over to the Strip and bought our bus passes to take us to the outlet mall. The northern outlet was supposedly the better one with more brand name shops. Since we didn’t have any breakfast that day, we first got something to eat in the food court before we proceeded to the shops.

I think overall we spent around 2 hours at the outlet. I was only interested in a few brands, so I was very quick making my rounds. I’m pretty sure the longest time I spent was in the Tory Burch store. =P

After taking the bus back to the hotel, it was time for some real relaxation. We had booked a massage at the MGM spa. I honesty think it was one of the nicest spas I’ve been to. They had amazing amenities inside and it was the perfect way to end our vacation. After we were done, it was time for our dinner at Shibuya. Shibuya was very pricey, but the food was really good. We ordered the futari omakase and some sake to go with our meal. Our kani salad actually came on top of a fish bowl, with a live fish swimming inside! I was too engrossed in the salad that I failed to take notice of the fish until our waiter came over and told us jokingly not to eat it. Hehe. My favourite dish that night was probably the lobster and scallops seared in uni butter. So yummy!

We didn’t have a lot of time afterwards since our shuttle was coming to take us to the airport. We actually arrived at the airport about three hours early, so we had lots of time to kill. We used up the last of our change playing the slot machines inside the departure hall. I was actually exhausted, so I was trying my hardest to stay awake until boarding. I think this may be the first and last time I take an overnight flight. (T__T)

Overall our vacation in Vegas was pretty fun. I don’t think it’s a place I’d ever want to go to again unless I have lots of time, money and appetite. Vegas is honestly a gigantic tourist trap. It definitely beats Macau by a long shot. Good thing I didn’t lose too much money on the slots! And hopefully I’ve learnt my lesson about buffets. =P
